The selected students will participate in an internship, which could be carried out in a face-to-face or virtual format, from June 1 to 13 at Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n University, and from June 14 to 27 at the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.mit.edu\/education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Massachusetts Institute of Technology<\/a> (MIT). In both instances, students will participate in seminars and interactive activities on STEM careers, research methods, professional development, and the college admission process, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is led by Dr. Edmarie Guzm\u00e1n V\u00e9lez and Dr. H\u00e9ctor De Jes\u00fas Cort\u00e9s, two Puerto Rican scientists in the mainland who collaborate with <a href=\"https:\/\/global.sagrado.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sagrado\u2019s School of Professional Studies<\/a>. Dr. Guzm\u00e1n is a specialist in Neuropsychology and works at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. De Jes\u00fas currently works at the MIT Center for Cognitive Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline to apply is February 24, 2021.
