On December 11, the Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n University Dolphins became the men\u2019s volleyball champions of the Intercollegiate Athletic League (LAI, Spanish acronym). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They defeated the Gallitos of the University of Puerto Rico, R\u00edo Piedras (UPR-RP) in four sets (24-26, 25-23, 25-22, and 37-35) at the Mario \u201cQuijote\u201d Morales coliseum in Guaynabo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter so many years in which Sagrado didn\u2019t win a championship, we won. The Dolphins have made an immense effort. The goal we wanted has been achieved: the championship.\u201d<\/p>Ramon Lawrence<\/strong>,

Sagrado hadn\u2019t won the championship since the 2007-2008 season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

H\u00e9ctor Rom\u00e1n, captain of the Dolphins, added that \u201c[t]he key was to remain united, not to lose our cool. This (the championship) was achieved with a lot of preparation. Non-stop training for a year, and it paid off.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
