Some 60 Sagrado students from the Student Support Program<\/a><\/strong> (PAE, Spanish acronym) were honored during the 45th<\/sup> edition of the PAE Recognition Ceremony, given their effort during the 2021-2022 academic year at Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n University<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, Frangelys Rodr\u00edguez Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> was recognized as the PAE Successful Student for her work as a leader in the communities of the Ca\u00f1o Mart\u00edn Pe\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am honored to get up every day to fight for justice and peace in my community and the Island,\u201d the young woman told those present.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

PAE also recognized admissions advisor Jonathan Acevedo Font\u00e1nez with the special PAE Collaborator award; as well as radio journalist Gelmary Rivera S\u00e1nchez with the PAE Successful Alumni award. In total, 44 students were recognized for Academic Excellence and another 16 for Academic Progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Game Room at the Student Center, PAE director Liz Sep\u00falveda Arroyo congratulated everyone on behalf of her team. Meanwhile, Yizeth Arellando Garc\u00eda and Jeamy Mel\u00e9ndez del Rosario, PAE academic advisor and coordinator, respectively, served as mistresses of ceremonies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alumna and finance coach Carlisa Col\u00f3n followed by offering her conference \u201cStop wanting and start achieving,\u201d which motivated the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This alumna, who is also founder of <\/strong>Finanzas con Chispa<\/em><\/strong> by Carlisa,<\/em><\/strong> said: \u201cI always wanted to study at Sagrado, but they told me I was poor and couldn’t. An example of how others can hand over and transfer their own fears and prejudices to you.\u201d Ultimately, her focus brought her to our university, where she completed a BA in Journalism.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
