As of August 2022, Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n University<\/a><\/strong> will offer a new master\u2019s degree in Journalism and Innovation<\/a><\/strong> as part of the academic offer of the Ferr\u00e9 Rangel School of Communication<\/a><\/strong> (ECFR, Spanish acronym).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program has a cooperative curriculum where academia and industry come together in the training process of future journalists. \u201cOur master\u2019s degree in Journalism and Innovation consists of 24 credits in a hybrid modality, with a sequence that can be completed in just four quarters,\u201d Gabriel Paizy<\/strong>, dean of ECFR, explained to inSagrado<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the last quarter, students can choose between two end-of-degree options: a cooperative internship in a news media outlet (face-to-face) or a collaborative innovation project with a news media outlet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe program is aimed at persons interested in journalism and technological, media, and cultural innovation. Students are prepared in journalistic investigation methods and new storytelling formats to offer transcendental content to audiences of digital platforms and traditional media with transparency and reliability,\u201d he added.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The objectives of the master\u2019s degree include the training of journalism professionals who are capable of innovating in practice and managing change to produce relevant information, as well as promoting the writing of informative and socially significant content for multiple digital platforms and traditional media. Research focused on immersion journalism and solutions is also promoted, using analysis and data mining, critical questioning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
