University of the Sacred Heart signs agreement with the Dr. Ra\u00fal Garc\u00eda Rinaldi Foundation and Adler Clinics<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University of the Sacred Heart has established a collaboration with the Dr. Ra\u00fal Garc\u00eda Rinaldi Foundation and Adler Clinics that will allow students from the School of Health and Sciences to engage in real-world professional environments alongside health-care practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this partnership, participants will have the opportunity to observe clinical procedures, interact with interdisciplinary medical teams, and receive direct mentorship from specialists in medicine and nursing. This experience will serve as a valuable addition to their academic preparation and to the application process for medical schools in Puerto Rico and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe collaboration with the Garc\u00eda Rinaldi Foundation and Adler Clinics represents a unique opportunity for our students to broaden their knowledge in real-world settings. Our priority is to offer them educational experiences that strengthen their preparation as they apply to medical schools within and beyond Puerto Rico,\u201d said Dr. Anuchka Ramos Ruiz, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs at Sagrado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dr. Garc\u00eda Rinaldi Foundation, recognized for its longstanding work in mentorship programs and clinical rotations, expands its educational mission beyond its traditional summer program. \u201cThis alliance allows us to reach more students with a true vocation for service and science,\u201d said its executive director, Dr. Maura Tapia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the upcoming academic year, dozens of students will benefit from the program as part of the School of Health and Sciences\u2019 efforts to strengthen the scientific and ethical training of its student community. The school\u2019s dean, Dr. Bianca Vald\u00e9s Fern\u00e1ndez, noted that the curriculum is designed to provide comprehensive preparation, including academic development and the skills needed for the MCAT exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Eric T. Adler of Adler Clinics highlighted the importance of initiatives like this in supporting Puerto Rico\u2019s health ecosystem. \u201cSupporting the educational process of future professionals is also an investment in the well-being of Puerto Rico,\u201d Dr. Adler noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative joins other collaborations that strengthen Sagrado\u2019s academic offerings and its commitment to the professional development of its students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
