Universidad del Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n celebrated a golden weekend by winning championships at the 2026 LAI Sports Festival and earning three audiovisual production awards granted to students from the Ferr\u00e9 Rangel School of Communication (ECFR, per its Spanish Acronym).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first weekend of the Sports Festival showcased the sustained development of Sagrado\u2019s athletes. The Dolphins men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams reaffirmed the university\u2019s high competitive level by securing first place in the swimming championship for both delegations. Meanwhile, the beach volleyball team achieved a historic milestone by winning the championship in both divisions for the first time in the university\u2019s history at the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ECFR also celebrated receiving three Student Production Awards, presented by the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). These awards promote excellence in audiovisual production led by university and high school students, and this year Sagrado students were recognized in the categories of Newscast<\/em>, Hard News Report<\/em>, and Feature News Report<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Newscast<\/em><\/strong> category, the winning entry was STV Noticias: December 5, 2025<\/em>, produced by Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez Chiclana, Alanis Cartagena Burgos, Gonzalo Andr\u00e9 Garc\u00eda, Edu\u00e1n Col\u00f3n Barbosa, Ianis Soto Valle, Odalys Gonz\u00e1lez Valent\u00edn, Kiahna Bonilla Burgos, Lisandro Miranda Cartagena, Amanda Negr\u00f3n Alvarado, Adriana P\u00e9rez Ortega, and Gibr\u00e1n Marrero Roque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Hard News Report<\/em><\/strong>, the award went to PKG: En peligro nuestros manglares II<\/em>, by Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez Chiclana, Kelvin Colomba Rodr\u00edguez, and Edu\u00e1n Col\u00f3n Barbosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Feature News Report<\/strong><\/em>, the recognition was awarded to PKG: La energ\u00eda que Puerto Rico dej\u00f3 atr\u00e1s<\/em>, produced by Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez Chiclana, Ariana Ortiz Figueroa, Elany Romero Cruz, and Gabriel Torres Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
