Leaders from the four universities spoke with Inside Higher Education about the impact that CHARISM has on the communities they serve.
Universidad del Sagrado Corazón hosted an important gathering of leaders from the CHARISM alliance, who traveled to Puerto Rico to continue strengthening the academic collaboration formalized last December among the four participating universities.
Presidents, provosts, and academic and administrative leaders from the University of the Incarnate Word, Dominican University, University of Mount Saint Vincent, and Sagrado met on campus to advance joint initiatives in study away, shared courses, and new academic pathways designed to benefit the more than 20,000 students across the four institutions.
Throughout the day, the leaders engaged in strategic conversations that helped identify shared priorities, define next steps, and envision new opportunities for collaborative work. The atmosphere was marked by a strong sense of purpose, open dialogue, and a renewed commitment to educational innovation in service of students.

The visit reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing a global vision, bilingual education, and a mission of service to their communities—an unprecedented effort among Catholic institutions in the United States and Puerto Rico.
Below are two feature stories from Inside Higher Education, a leading source of higher education news, that spotlight the CHARISM alliance and its impact on the communities it serves.
Thank you to everyone who makes it possible for CHARISM to continue moving forward with determination in its mission to transform lives through education!
