The Christmas season at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón shines this year with the artistic talent of two students from the Graphic Design program in the School of Arts, Design, and Creative Industries. Students Viviana I. Báez Rico and Nicole Natera Jorge bring their vision, skill, and sensitivity to this festive season through the illustrations that will appear on the institutional poster and greeting card.

The artwork “Silent Night, Sacred Heart,” created by Viviana I. Báez Rico, depicts the Nativity within the university’s portico in an Art Nouveau style. Inspired by her love for art and the Christmas season, the piece seeks to convey serenity and share a sense of peace with the community.
Viviana, a native of Vega Baja and a Graphic Design major with a minor in Music, aspires to pursue further studies in Europe that integrate design and artificial intelligence, while also developing an independent career as a graphic artist. Her work includes the symbol of Centro Sofía, highlighting the connection between faith and culture at Sagrado.

These works celebrate the creativity that flourishes at Sagrado and demonstrate how design can communicate history, spirituality, and beauty with a distinctive voice. We hope these illustrations, crafted with care and intention by our students, inspire peace, solidarity, and love throughout this season. May the spirit of Christmas fill every corner of our university community with light and hope.
