Sagrado has launched an exclusive collection of silk twilly scarves as part of the fifth edition of its “Comparte tu Corazón” campaign, an initiative dedicated to strengthening the Student Support Initiatives Fund.
The collection, titled Lozas Redescubiertas, was created in collaboration with Puerto Rican firm Ücreative Ateliere and is inspired by the iconic lozas criollas that adorn the historic buildings of the Santurce campus. These tiles, recognized for their geometric patterns, vibrant colors, and artisanal details, are emblematic of traditional Puerto Rican architecture. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, they carry the stories of generations who have walked these halls, cementing their place as a treasured cultural element.
The three scarves in the collection celebrate this visual heritage by highlighting the color, elegance, and distinct character of the lozas criollas, reinterpreted with a contemporary approach that bridges past and present.
“In this edition, we collaborated with a Puerto Rican company that captured an important part of our history in this collection, paying tribute to the architectural heritage of our campus. Each piece celebrates historical memory and transforms it into a contemporary accessory, bringing Sagrado’s heritage beyond its Santurce grounds,” said Cassandra M. Vega Rivera, Sagrado’s vice president of Development.
Each purchase contributes directly to supporting students who benefit from the University’s Student Support Initiatives Fund.
“Thanks to these contributions, our students receive assistance in emergency situations, scholarships, support for participating in international experiences, and hot meals at our solidarity dining room, CoMesa,” added Vega, who also serves as Sagrado’s chief development officer. “We invite everyone to share their heart and make a difference in the lives of our student community”.
