During the summer, students from the University of the Sacred Heart participated in La Cepita, an immersive acceleration program focused on product and service development. Over eight weeks, participants worked on the conceptualization, design, and implementation of a functional prototype with commercialization potential.

The program combined intensive workshops, mentorship, and hands-on sessions centered on idea development, validation, and prototyping. Its goal is to provide students with a comprehensive experience that promotes both innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.

At Demo Day, participants presented their projects to the university community. One of them was Shoot it Bruno, created by student Eliezer Bruno, who shared: “Presenting this project in front of my classmates and the Sagrado community means a lot to me because it marks the end of this stage, but also the beginning of my career as an entrepreneur.”

Meanwhile, Visual Arts student Alejandra Martorell, creator of Bam Book!, explained that her motivation to join the program came from the opportunity to gain new business skills. “As a Visual Arts student, creating comes naturally to me, and what motivated me to participate in La Cepita was the chance to develop those entrepreneurial skills I was missing,” said Martorell.

“For my project, La Cepita has been an enriching and highly motivating experience. It helped me boost my creativity and present myself genuinely to my audience,” said alumna and Resina Creativa owner Pamela Martínez, who also participated in Demo Day and emphasized the program’s impact on her personal and professional growth.

La Cepita, Demo Day, and Sagrado’s Entrepreneurship component continue to transform the way Sagrado students explore their creativity and develop viable projects. The initiatives born from La Cepita stand as a testament to the creativity of Sagrado’s students and the potential of entrepreneurial education.
