Are you a college student interested in entrepreneurship and/or building your professional experience? Would you like to do an internship with an innovative and globally-oriented startup right here in Puerto Rico?
Parallel18 is creating a pool of interns who are passionate about technology, innovation and entrepreneurship to assist locally-based, globally-oriented startups as part of the Intern18 Program. Relevant areas of interest include: sales, marketing, social media, accounting, web design, graphic design, software and web development, plus industry-specific areas that relate to our growing startups. Intern18 is open to juniors, seniors, recent graduates and graduate students from all disciplines for summer 2016 (with a chance to extend until fall 2016).
This is an amazing and unique opportunity for students to build their résumé, receive mentorship, grow professionally, learn about the local startup ecosystem, and glean visibility into what entrepreneurship is all about, right here in Puerto Rico. The internship may lead to full-time employment at one of the startups, or could serve as motivation for you to someday start your own company!
POSITION TITLE: Parallel18 Intern
DUTIES/JOB DESCRIPTION: To be determined by the Parallel18 startup that recruits you as an intern.
TIME PERIOD: Summer 2016 (12 weeks, from Monday, May 23 to Friday, August 12)
HOURS: Full time (4o hours a week). You may be able to work out a flexible schedule.
LOCATION: Parallel18 coworking space in Santurce. There’s a possibility for remote work part of the time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Junior, senior, recent graduates and graduate students are eligible to apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be flexible and able to work overtime when required.
- Must be organized and work well with constant priority changes.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of the Puerto Rico business landscape is ideal.
COMPENSATION: Internship may be paid or unpaid. To be determined by the Parallel18 startup that recruits you.
