Isabelle Canals Olivencia, a student from the School of Health and Sciences, will offer a message on behalf of the 2022 Solidarios Graduating Class this Sunday, June 12, at Sagrado’s 83rd Commencement Ceremony.

“Expressing myself on behalf of my fellow Sagrado students makes me wholeheartedly proud. I will take advantage of the opportunity to remember how each one of us lives solidarity inside and outside the university. Also, I will highlight our resilience in the face of obstacles,” this Sagrado student with a friendly and kind personality told inSagrado.

Isabelle finished her bachelor’s degree in General Natural Sciences with a major in Psychology, while “she did everything,” according to many of the other graduates.

The student leader chaired the Student-Oriented Academic Research Society, as well as the Medlife organization, which empowers the poor in their fight for equal access to health care, education, and safe housing.

In addition, Isabelle volunteered at Sagrado Verde and its garden for the CoMesa soup kitchen, which combats food insecurity in university students.

This young woman will venture into the field of medicine where -for sure- she will live the mission and vision of her university: Sagrado.

“Isabelle has shown a commitment to her formative process, motivated to seek the best results. At the same time, she connected with each one of her classmates at Sagrado Corazón University. She is a Dolphin who stands out for her integrity, responsibility, and social commitment. A source of great pride for everyone!” said Gilberto Marxuach-Torrós, president of Sagrado.
