To ensure that every student has access to the support services they need for their overall development and academic success, Universidad del Sagrado Corazón recently announced a new advising model that brings academic advisors even closer to students.
Starting this academic year, each school has a dedicated advisor to address students’ needs in areas such as career advising, student exchanges, and community engagement. This reorganization moves the University toward one of the goals outlined in the Sagrado 2030 Strategic Plan: ensuring that every student has access to the support services they need to develop and graduate from the University.

Natalia I. Rodríguez
School of Arts, Design, and Creative Industries
Natalia Rodríguez Rivera is the advisor who will support students in the School of Arts, Design, and Creative Industries, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals and make the most of the Sagrado experience.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in Social Work from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She also has more than 20 years of experience as a social worker, including six years dedicated to supporting students in their academic and personal development.
Melanie Robles
Ferré Rangel School of Communication
Melanie Robles holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Graphic Design from University of Puerto Rico, as well as more than seven years of professional experience in design, advertising, higher education, and instructional design.
Part of her professional career has been at Sagrado, where she has held various roles, including professional studies analyst and career advisor, before becoming an academic advisor. These experiences, together with her knowledge of the institution, allow her to support students and help them make the most of the resources and opportunities offered by the University.
Larry Pérez
School of Health and Sciences
Over his 15-year career in higher education, Larry Pérez has served as a professor, coordinator, academic director, and, currently, senior academic advisor at Sagrado. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Universidad Central de Bayamón.
In addition to overseeing the logistics and coordination of the Academic Advising unit, he serves as the advisor supporting students in the School of Health and Sciences throughout their university careers. His commitment to service, dedication to student success, and experience in academic advising make him a valuable ally throughout students’ university journey.
Emmanuel Padró Santana
School of Business and School of General Education
Emmanuel Padró Santana holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English from Ana G. Méndez University and a master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Learning, Media, and Technology from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. With five years of experience in higher education, he has worked as an academic advisor and English professor, supporting students as they plan their academic journey and work toward their university goals.
His background in education, together with his experience in training, leadership, and talent development, allows him to provide personalized, practical advising focused on each student’s success. Students from both the School of Business and the School of General Education can meet with Emmanuel at the School of Business.
Meanwhile, support services for graduate students will continue to be offered through the Office of Academic Affairs, while advising services for transfer students will continue to be provided through the Dean of Students Office.
