For many parents and guardians, one of the biggest concerns during their children’s high school years is seeing them approach graduation without being completely certain about what they want to study or which direction they want to take in their professional future. It is a natural concern. Choosing a college major is not simply about selecting an academic program; it is about discovering interests, identifying strengths, and envisioning a path that will allow students to grow and thrive both professionally and personally.
However, making the right decision can be challenging when a student only knows about a career through a description on a website or a brief conversation. Young people often need something more: the opportunity to experience it firsthand, ask questions, interact with professionals in the field, and explore their possibilities before committing to such an important decision.
With this need in mind, Sagrado invites students from the Class of 2027 and their families to participate in Casa Abierta: Workshop Edition, an exclusive experience designed to help them discover where their true passions and talents lie.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Saturday, December 5, 2026, participants will have the opportunity to be college students for a day. Unlike a traditional orientation, this experience will allow them to select a program of interest, meet the people who could become their future professors, and participate in an actual workshop related to the academic field that interests them most.
It is an opportunity for students to explore possibilities, confirm their interests, or even discover new career paths they may not have previously considered. For parents, it offers the reassurance of seeing their children make informed decisions based on meaningful, hands-on experiences.
In addition, families will be able to get answers to their questions about the admissions process, financial aid options, and the resources available to support the transition to college life. Our team will be available to provide personalized guidance and support every step of the way. As an added benefit, participants will be able to complete their pre-enrollment for August 2027, taking an important step toward their academic future.
Sometimes, discovering a passion begins with a conversation. Other times, it begins with a hands-on experience that helps students envision a possible future. Casa Abierta: Workshop Edition was created precisely for that purpose: to help students explore who they want to become and give their families the confidence of knowing they are taking their next step with greater clarity and purpose.
