Iliana Ballester Panelli, professor at Sagrado Corazón University, received the Best Presenter Award at the fourth edition of the International Conference on Advanced Research in Administration, Business, and Finance.

The professor virtually presented the work “Impact of Professional Certifications and Practical Learning on University Students,” as well as three academic projects from the Ferré Rangel School of Communication (ECFR, Spanish acronym): Elemento 360, Entre Medios and Multimedios.

“I am proud and grateful for the opportunity to present the academic projects that our dean, Dr. Gabriel Paizy, calls ‘the golden triangle,’ given their success,” the publicist told inSagrado.

Ballester Panelli explained what Element 360, Entre Medios, and Multimedios consist of, and how they impact the professional future of participants.

Elemento 360 is the communication firm managed by Sagrado students and directed by the interviewee. Some of the services it offers include marketing, advertising, and public relations to small and medium-sized businesses and/or non-profit organizations.

“For example, participants in Elemento 360 have found employment in their area of study, many of them even before graduating,” said the academic, who has a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from Sagrado and a master’s degree in Advertising from Michigan State University”.

However, Entre Medios is the network that connects students with media mentors, and is directed by Professor Lillian Agosto. The workshop prepares students for writing, audiovisual production, and/or research aimed for broadcast.

Meanwhile, Multimedios is the production house of the ECFR, with television studios and a radio station at the service of the students. The workshop prepares students in production for television, radio, and the internet.

According to the professor, who has been working at Sagrado since 1989, “students are allowed to participate in academic projects since their freshman year.”

The International Conference on Advanced Research in Administration, Business, and Finance is an international-level academic event where participants connect with peers, in addition to sharing their findings and opinions on works.

Congratulations to Iliana for receiving the Best Presenter Award!
