Two years after the COVID-19 pandemic, 21 students from Sagrado’s Ferré Rangel School of Communication (ECFR, Spanish acronym) are once again living an international experience in Madrid, Spain; this is a requirement of the Strategic Communication course (CES 390).

The 10-day academic trip includes cultural, academic, and business visits to the Madre Patria, under the supervision of Professor Iliana Ballester and Dr. Gabriel Paizy, Dean of the ECFR. In addition, they will have the opportunity to meet experts in strategic communication, such as Jesús Hernández, María López Quiero, Arturo Gómez, and José Manuel Velasco.

“The CES 390 course is a triangular experience, as it provides learning in three areas: professional, academic, and cultural. Students learn by doing and by traveling, a practice that we encourage at the ECFR,” Ballester told inSagrado.

Participants have expressed their satisfaction with the richness and quality of this international experience.

“Traveling is like reading; the more you do it, the better prepared you are to learn and delve into certain topics. That experience only gives you exposure to other cultures and societies,” said Paizy, author of the column “En Buen Español” (In Good Spanish) for the Primera Hora newspaper.
