As a new academic year begins, Universidad del Sagrado Corazón welcomes students who are starting their university journey and welcomes back those who continue to be part of this community. Each new semester is an opportunity to keep learning, grow, and shape an experience that defines what it means to be a Sagradeño.

And what does it mean to be a Sagradeño?

Being Sagradeño means to constantly learn, question, create, and use knowledge responsibly as a force for the common good. Throughout your time at Sagrado, you will continue to develop your judgment and strengthen your skills in your chosen field with the guidance and support of a university community that believes in your ability to achieve great things.

Your experience at Sagrado will be shaped by new knowledge and perspectives, as well as by challenges—both personal and collective. Every student’s journey will be as unique as the individual who lives it, yet all will share a common foundation: an academic and professional education grounded in ethical responsibility, social commitment, and respect for diversity.

This new academic year is an opportunity to continue advancing your personal, academic, and professional goals—or to begin pursuing new ones you may not have imagined yet. The learning that takes place both inside and outside the classroom will continue to guide your growth, open new opportunities, and strengthen your ability to lead initiatives that create a positive impact on society.

Although daily student life may sometimes feel demanding with academic, professional, or extracurricular responsibilities, never lose sight of the fact that university life is a unique stage in your personal growth. As each of you continues to shape your own path, your development will also reflect a collective effort to build a more just, compassionate, and peaceful society.

Welcome—and welcome back—home.
